Hi,
I am looking to buy my first home, and have spoken to a broker for home mortgage loan. I heard that mortgage brokers and bank loan officers don't automatically quote the best rate initially. The buyer has to make them compete with each other. How should the buyer run this process?

Does anyone have any experience with brokers vs banks?
